Pawn Expo 2020 to be hosted at Paris Las Vegas Casino & Hotel
Southlake, TX – The National Pawnbrokers Association (NPA) is proud to announce the schedule for Pawn Expo 2020, the only national convention and trade show for the pawn industry. Hosted annually by the NPA, Pawn Expo will be hosted for the first time at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino on June 23-25, 2020. Registration can be completed online by visiting www.NationalPawnbrokers.org/Pawn-Expo.
“This year Pawn Expo will offer new and exciting education sessions, special events, and a trade show featuring over 100 companies,” said Kerry Rainey, pawnbroker and NPA President. What began over 30 years ago as a simple gathering of NPA members has become the largest and most comprehensive pawn industry convention and expo event in the U.S., bringing pawnbrokers, industry partners, and companies from around the globe together under one roof. Mr. Rainey added, “Pawn Expo is not only a premium networking opportunity for our industry, it is also designed to help new and veteran pawnbrokers strengthen and grow their businesses.”
The Keynote Speaker will be Ron Culberson, author of four books, including Do it Well, Make it Fun – The Key to Success in Life, Death, and Almost Everything in Between. Ron’s mission is to change the workplace culture so that organizations are more productive and staff are more content. He is a recognized expert on the benefits of humor and laughter.
Special events at Pawn Expo include the Peace. Love, & Fun Welcome Reception — the largest pawnbroker party in the world — as well as the Young Professionals get together “HeadzUp,” the closing night Happy Trails Farewell Bash, and the popular “Networking in the Fast Lane” event, where pawnbrokers have the chance to quickly meet and make new connections. The trade show will introduce attendees to pawn industry partners, vendors, and opportunities to meet with over 20 diamond buyers.
The theme for Pawn Expo 2020 is “Get On Board” and strives to inspire pawnbrokers to network, make friends, and open their minds to new ideas. The education sessions cover topics including anti-money laundering, coins, bullion, luxury handbags resale, pawnbroker marketing tactics, and pawnbroker FFL compliance. Mr. Rainey notes, “Based on our member’s feedback, the educators and presenters will be a combination of experts and professional pawnbrokers who have specialized knowledge in industry-specific topics.” Two education sessions will focus on new NPA member benefits, including the Pawn Industry Operating Performance Benchmark Survey and the introduction of the NPA’s new Pawn Knowledge Program.
Two pre-convention educational seminars are being offered on Monday, June 22, 2020, Pawn/Dealers in Precious Metals/MSB Certification and a GIA Diamond Grading course. Additional registration is required.
