The Oregon Pawnbroker Association was officially established in 1989 by a forward thinking group of pawnbrokers who wanted to promote positive change to Oregon’s pawn industry. Today, the Association is the driving force behind many of these necessary changes while keeping a watchful eye on proposed government change that could adversely impact our industry.
Our association strives to sustain the highest level of ethical conduct by adhering to established best practices and conforming to federal, state and local laws and regulation. Our members strive to be respected by their communities fostering strong relationships with law enforcement, state legislators, local government and community leaders.
